NAFDAC Regulates Pesticides in Nigeria
In Nigeria, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) regulates pesticides. You can't import or sell a pesticide unless it's registered with NAFDAC first. The agency keeps a public list of registered products, the NAFDAC Greenbook, at greenbook.nafdac.gov.ng.
If you're an importer or distributor, check that list before you commit to a product. It shows which formulations already have approval in Nigeria. How do I check if a product is NAFDAC registered?
Search the NAFDAC Greenbook at greenbook.nafdac.gov.ng. It's the public list of registered pesticides. If the product isn't there, it can't be imported or sold in Nigeria yet.
Can CHICO register products in Nigeria for me?
CHICO is a manufacturer and supplier. We don't act as the registrant. We give you the technical documents and samples you need, but the registration itself has to be done by a local entity in Nigeria.
