What Dinotefuran Is
Dinotefuran is a third-generation neonicotinoid insecticide. It belongs to the same chemical class as imidacloprid and thiamethoxam, but it has a different molecular structure. The active works on the insect nervous system by binding to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. This disrupts nerve signals and leads to paralysis and death.
You'll see it used mainly against sucking insects. It's systemic in plants, so it moves into new growth after application. That makes it useful for pests that feed on sap, like aphids, whiteflies, leafhoppers, and planthoppers. It's often formulated with other actives to broaden the target range.

Formulation and Tank-Mix Notes
CHICO offers dinotefuran as SC and WDG formulations. DITO is a 10% dinotefuran plus 15% tolfenpyrad SC. BLINK is an 18% bifenthrin plus 12% dinotefuran SC. PADAN is a 50% WDG with 10% dinotefuran and 40% pymetrozine.
Before tank mixing, check the pH and compatibility of your water and other products. Don't mix with strongly alkaline materials. Always do a jar test with a small amount first. Follow the label of your registered product and confirm with your registrant if you plan to mix with anything not listed.
